In Charles County, our last two editions of the Maryland Independent focused on campaign finance. Articles by Alan Brody and Meredith Somers pointed out the “slow start” in both party’s ability to raise funds for their candidates. Only one week Prior, the nation witnessed an historical event in the nation’s political scene with the state of Massachusetts electing Scott Brown to fill the shoes of a long standing Democrat to hold office in the U.S. Senate. This certainly has electrified the GOP around the country, ESPECIALLY in the solid blue state of Maryland.

Three Candidates in Charles County are looking for your support to keep this conservative ball rolling as we work to see Maryland go from blue to red.

Come support GOP candidates Charles Lollar (U.S. Congress), Mike Phillips (Maryland House of Delegates), and Rick Campbell (Charles County Commissioner) as they seek to bring common sense to every level of Government representing Charles County.

Weather you have a “dog in the fight” for the Super Bowl between the Saints and the Colts or not – you do have a “dog in the fight” for bringing a Representative government back to Maryland. It will take your financial support to make this happen and your presence is requested to help support me and these gentleman by your attendance on February 7^th. Doors open at 4:00 pm and we go until after the ball game is over. We have rooms at discount rates provided. Several former Redskins are going to be in attendance, BBQ Ribs, chicken wings, and other Super Bowl food and beverage. There will be other activities planned for the evening to make it interesting – oh, and of course – the Super Bowl will be on a large screen t.v. in a living room atmosphere for easy viewing.
